QUILT ‘TIL YOU DROP

6 hours of uninterrupted sewing time! Heather or Elissa will be on hand to answer any questions and help you will your projects. This is the perfect block of time to work on those annoying unfinished projects.
HAPPENING HEXAGONS
Teacher: Heather Date:January 22
Time:10 – 4:00 p.m. Cost:$42.00
Experiment with black and white prints to create a stunning hexagon lap quilt or create a snappy hexagon table runner in colours of your choice. Learn to cut and piece 60-degree triangles working with a regular ruler and a 60-degree ruler. Strip piecing, accurate centers, print contrast and angle piecing will be covered in the class.

INTRODUCTION TO QUILTING

BELLY-BUTTON TABLE RUNNER

Using the Bellybutton X-Block ruler and four coordinating fabrics, this table runner looks complicated, but is as simple as any nine-patch. Do you like the pattern, but want a larger size? Any of the other X-Block rulers will give you a quilt instead of a table runner.
URBAN FUNK BAG

POCKET ZIP

Learn a quick method of sewing up a zipper pouch suitable for coins, cash or credit cards. Make one to keep and one to give away! You’ll soon agree that putting in a zipper is no big deal!
FREE & EASY PIECING

Piecing together your quilt without using a pattern, measurements, and sometimes not even a ruler, is becoming very popular in the quilting world. This class will explore the basic techniques used to make a quilt that is truly one of a kind!

SPICY SPIRAL TABLE RUNNER

While there are many amazing runner patterns available, there isn’t a runner quite like this one! Incorporation of the bargello design creates this unique table topper. Some preparation work required.
“Anthropologie” Inspired Ruffled Apron

This ruffled apron was inspired by the Anthropologie store. You can make it with the same fabric or spice it up with different fabrics for each ruffle. Add your own style of pocket and embellishments. This class doesn’t have a pattern to buy, so come and get the inside scoop on these fun aprons!

Discover that the sky is the limit when it comes to Crazy Patch. Our first class will teach the basic foundation sewing of Crazy Patch. The second class is the fun part: learning how to embellish your Crazy Patch. Putting the runner together is easy. Just a note, if bright colors aren’t your thing, pick fabrics that are. Cottons, silks, and batiks can all be combined.

This new technique from England is a fast and easy way to create Pineapple Block without wasting fabric. It’s also a great way to learn how changing color will change to looks of your blocks and ultimately your quilt!

THE ONE-DAY BABY QUILT

This is the perfect opportunity to start and finish a quilt for a new little one or one on the way. Kits will be precut so that when you arrive you can start sewing. Long arm quilter Karen Young will be on hand at the end of the day to pick up your quilt if you wish. Cost includes class fee, pattern and kit with cuddle backing , batting and binding. Quilting fee to be paid when Karen picks up your quilt.
