Advent Calendar

By starting your advent calendar in August, you should have it ready to hang by the beginning of December! Elissa and Heather will cover working with wool, as well as wool, needle turn and fusible web appliqué. Elissa will show you how to avoid time consuming wool ornaments (Heather’s technique) by creating terrific ornaments out of paper tags. Class size: 8

Pick any lap quilt from Christmas Quilts from Hopscotch, and we’ll cover all of the techniques required. While working on a lap quilt of your choice, Elissa will walk you through how to paper piece all three shapes in the book. This is a perfect class for those of you who are new to paper piecing! Where’s Heather you ask? Well, it’s back to school for her, but she will be dropping by in the afternoon to admire everyone’s work!

Join us for a 6 hour block of uninterrupted sewing! This group seems to go through several pots of coffee and someone always brings snacks! Class size is limited so be sure to sign up so we can save you a spot!

Kids Can Quilt – A Quilt For All Seasons Q101

Your child won’t want to miss our first kids Block of the Month class! Tammy will assist students in making a quilt designed just for them by Hopscotch Quilt Shop. They will learn all kinds of new quilting tips, and there will be some awesome surprises along the way. Students will be sewing two blocks per class.

Students should be 10 years or older (or have previous sewing experience). Starter tool kits which include pins, scissors, marking tools, etc. are available for this class. Class size limit: 6

After consulting with this year’s class, we have changed the format for Stitch Journeys to one evening and two Saturdays! Explore thread and what it can do! At the end of the class you will have created a personal journal that will serve as a reference point for further stitching. Not only will you come away with a greater understanding of thread and what it can do, but participants feel they learn a lot about their sewing machine and what it can do! Class size is limited to eight, so be sure to sign up early!

Wool Mitten Decorations QE

Add something new to your tree this year by creating homey wool mittens! Tammy will guide you through the tips and tricks of working with wool so that you can create a whole series in time for Christmas. The mittens also make great gift embellishments!

Create a stunning pillowcase while learning how to needle turn inside and outside corners. This is an excellent class for quilters who are signed up for the Stars Around the Garden Block of the Month and would like to hand appliqué their center medallion.
